Pizzatizers- fun little pizzas!
Pizzatizers are a great way to personalize each family member's meal wiithout having to make several different dinner entrees! Go crazy with toppings, or just add cheese. The choice is all yours!
Pizzatizer dough: 5 tablespoons Fleischmann's active dry yeast 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons sugar 2 cups warm water (135 degrees F) 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 4 1/2 - 5 cups all purpose white flour 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce 1 cup parmesan cheese 2 cups mozzarella or italian blend shredded cheese Step 1: In large mixing bowl, combine Fleischmann's active dry yeast, extra virgin olive oil, sugar, and water. Whisk until yeast has dissolved. Let sit for 10 minutes. You will see the mixture rise and become foamy. Step 2: After 10 minutes, add the salt, onion powder, and garlic powder, mix well. Then add the flour, one cup at a time, until dough becomes thick and is able to form a ball. Step 3: Knead the dough for approximately 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface to work the dough together and then place back in bowl, cover with a towel and let sit for 1 hour. Step 4: After 1 hour, the dough should have tripled in size. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and lightly grease a 9x13" or larger baking stone (I love my Pampered Chef baking stone!). Step 5: Take the dough out of the bowl, and knead the dough again on a lightly floured surface for 2-3 minutes. Break apart dough into little balls and flatten with the palm of your hand and place at least 1 inch apart on your baking stone. You can make these little pizzatizer foundations any size you like. I prefer to make mine about the size of the palm of my hand. Step 6: Top with a teaspoonful of tomato sauce, a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, and shredded cheese. Add toppings of your choice if you choose to. Step 7: Bake for approximately 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, serve and enjoy! *Pizzatizer topping ideas: grilled chicken strips, bacon, ham and pineapple, sun dried tomatoes, fresh basil, ricotta cheese... the choice is yours! Be creative!! Fun for the whole family to make together! Like the forums? Don't forget to go to our main page to see whats new and get more great deals! www.LissasWorld.com ![]()
