Custom Made Wedding Cake Topper
Materials:
Sculpey - 3-4 packages
embellishments (ribbons, sand, shells, beads, etc.)
baking pan
Inscribe acrylic paint and paint brush
rolling pin

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F. Remove Sculpey from packaging and begin to knead until it becomes soft and pliable. Shape Sculpey into desired form for cake topper design. For my cake topper, I molded 2 hearts and flattened the bottom points of the hearts.

Step 2:
Make a platform for your design by first rolling out a piece of Sculpey about the size of a large bouncy ball. Then carefully pick the Sculpey up and shape it so that it is cupped, with the hollow side facing down.

Step 3:
Carefully pick up your shaped design that you made in step 1 and lightly apply pressure to the top of the platform to create an indent. Remove the shaped design and place both the platform and the designed on a plain baking sheet. Bake at 275 degrees F for 10 minutes.

Step 4:
After 10 minutes, remove baked Sculpey from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Then, take a small piece of Sculpey and mold the two pieces together so that your cake topper is able to stand. Place back in oven and cook for another 8 minutes.

Step 5:
This is where your creativity comes in. When Sculpey is done baking and has cooled (approximately 10 minutes for cooling), apply desired embellishments. If you wish, finish up with Inscribe acrylic paint for a little extra pizazz.
Step 6:
Place cake topper on your wedding cake and impress your guests!
