Full Version: Chocolate Sauce (Syrup) for Ice Cream

I prefer the taste of this chocolate sauce than any store brand any day. This sauce takes no more than 5 minutes to make and its consistency is thinner than a fudge sauce.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon unsweetened baking cocoa powder
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Mix the milk, sugar and butter in a medium size sauce pan on medium heat. Once sugar dissolves, add unsweetened baking cocoa powder. Lower heat to medium low and whisk well for 3-4 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract.

Either serve hot over ice cream or refrigerate and save for later for a thicker sauce!
